Take a walk through time at the Sidney Museum and Archives!

The Sidney Museum was established in 1971 with a mandate to acquire, preserve, and make available the heritage and culture of the Saanich Peninsula. The permanent collection contains over 8,000 objects and even more archival images and documents, many of which are regularly exhibited in the Museum’s permanent exhibition galleries.

The Sidney Museum also features traveling and temporary exhibitions throughout the year, featuring a mix of local and international snapshots of history, art, culture, and much more!

Daily Hours of Operation: 10:00am – 4:00pm (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day)

Insider’s Tip

From January – March, the Museum comes to life with its annual LEGO Fan Exhibition! Both floors of the Museum are turned into a celebration of LEGO in all its forms, from pirates to castles, science fiction to fantasy, and everything in between. We also regularly team up with the Victoria LEGO Users Group and Certified LEGO Professional Robin Sather for some truly brick-tastic creations! Be sure to check our website and social media pages in the fall, as we start to ramp up to the next exhibit. With hundreds of LEGO sets from every conceivable genre on display, you’re sure to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy!
