Peering through the verdant shrubbery at 1490 Fairfield Road one can just make out the pastel hued, Gothic revival cottage set amongst the vibrant colours of a traditional Victorian garden. Built in 1865 for goldrush merchant Francis Roscoe, and his wife, Letitia, Ross Bay Villa has been meticulously restored inside and out by dedicated team of talented volunteers. Reproduction English wallpaper, Brussels carpets, a Broadwood square grand piano and the exactingly matched original colour scheme. All are based on period furnishings that were featured in the Villa during the 1860s & 70s.
