Experience the beautiful gardens and grounds of Hatley Park National Historic Site, also home to Royal Roads University.

This national historic site on 565 acres has been a gathering place of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples, the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations, for thousands of years. Visitors can explore extensive trails through old-growth forests, stunning views of the Olympic mountains, all while admiring an Edwardian-era estate home.

Hatley Park is a sought-after site for Hollywood films and joyful wedding ceremonies year-round and the campus also offers conference space and catering. The unique and lush beauty of the campus and grounds are a favourite destination for locals and visitors.

Insider’s Tip

Park at the top of the hill just inside the entrance gate and take Charlie’s Trail for a wander in the woods that can end in a tour of a castle.
